Golden State Environmental, Inc. staff have successfully provided technical advice and expert opinions to attorneys in areas of contaminant hydrogeology, water resources, mining, construction, landslides and tunneling litigation. Expert services provided have included percipient and expert witness, and claim/dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration testimony. Clients include the U.S. Department of Fish and Game, California Attorney General, California Water Quality Control Board, California Coastal Commission, U.S. Department of Justice and others.

For cases involving contaminant hydrogeology, Golden State Environmental, Inc. routinely provides review and analysis of historical information/data, development of hydrogeologic conceptual model(s), evaluation of contaminant transport, plume identification / delineation / separation, selection of remedial alternatives, remedial design, treatment system installation and monitoring, and settlement monitoring and implementation. We have represented our clients in multi- party, multi-contaminant, multi-media environments including porous and fractured media. These sites have been contaminated by LNAPL/DNAPL, petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates, volatile organic carbons, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. These cases have been performed under the umbrella of CERCLA / Superfund, Polanco Act, Clean Water Act and NRDA (Natural Resource Damage Assessment).
